Infertility

“My name is Krystle and I struggle with unexplained infertility.  When my husband and I got married in September 2018, I was naive to think that we would be pregnant by Christmas.  Was I wrong or what?  After 5 failed Clomid and timed-intercourse cycles, 1 HSG, countless bloodwork, ultrasounds and 3 failed IUI’s later here we are almost 2 years later with no baby to show for it.  We are currently in the middle of our first IVF cycle and although we know that an end result of our journey might not equal a baby, we remain cautiously optimistic that we’ll be able to make our dream of becoming parents a reality.

From a young age, we aren’t taught that making babies doesn’t come easy for all.  That getting and staying pregnant is not always as easy as it’s portrayed to be.  So that’s why we have to educate ourselves and other men and women.  We need to be open, when we’re ready of course, to share our stories so that generations to come are AWARE of infertility, are empowered to advocate for themselves, and to know that they are NOT ALONE, all in the hope that their story will heal somebody else and make this journey easier for the next person.

Thank you AWARE for allowing me to share my story and spread awareness for this cause that is very seldom spoken about.  By wearing this necklace, I’ll be able to start the conversation and remind myself every day of my own strength and perseverance in dealing with infertility.” @krysrose89
